"When Raj came to me my immediate reaction was I willnot do the film. But how are you going to make it entertainingfor the audience was my first question. He answered thequestion in the script," she said.

"The medium of cinema is to entertain people. With theterm entertainment I don't mean the film should have itemnumber. Every film has a different genre and so it requiresentertainment in different fashion like in an action film oneentertains the audience with action, in romantic with romance,in comedy with funny moments," she added.

The movie promos are in full swing and beeps are used tocensor out objectionable words as the Bengali beauty goes boldon language in the garb of a hard-core crime journalist in thefilm.

Directed by Rajkumar Gupta, No One... is based on modelJessica Lall who was shot dead in 1999 by Manu Sharma, son ofa Haryana politician, in a Delhi night club.

The film features Vidya Balan as Jessica's sisterSabrina, who fought the case to get justice and Rani plays afiery journalist. The movie releases on January 7.

When asked if the film has any message to be sent out,the 32-year-old actress said, "To put that thing (a message)on a film's shoulder is too much as cinema is a medium ofentertaining people. The moment your film becomes preachypeople are not interested to watch it. But if there is a storythat needs to be told and if it is in an entertaining way Ithink people like to take it."

Entertainment is must whether it is through actionfilms or comedy or romantic or thriller. Today we have anexample of Raju Hirani, who through his films, entertainspeople and sends out a message and people are really excitedto watch his movies, Rani added.
