Milind Soman, arguably one of India's fittest actors in his Fifties, told news agency IANS that no one wants to cast him in movies. Milind Soman, who won the title of 'Ironman' in 2015, told IANS: "Nobody wants to cast me in films, yes that is true. I do not know why, but that is the reality. Once in a while, film offers come to me and I do that. I am interested in performance though... I like acting. It is a well-paid job and according to some people, I am good at it." Milind Soman was last seen in a short role in 2017's Chef, co-starring Saif Ali Khan.
Milind Soman has played a pivotal role in films like Rules: Pyaar Ka Superhit Formula, 16 December and Bajirao Mastani among others. Speaking about his infrequent appearance in films, Milind Soman told IANS: "I think people do not associate me with the mainstream... Only the urban people (maybe). I do not have friends and network with the commercial cinema world. In every business, the network is important."
When asked if he'd like to work with the new crop of filmmakers, Milind Soman told IANS: "I do not know any of them. In fact, I do not watch films. Perhaps that is the potential reason why people do not cast me in the film. I am one of those people who love to act in the film but does not want to watch the film. I think in a year, I watch maximum three films, that too superhero films."
Before films, Milind Soman featured in the music video of Alisha Chinoy's Made In India and television shows like Captain Vyom and Sea Hawks.
Milind Soman is married to Ankita Konwar. Milind is a fitness enthusiast and he hasn't announced his next project yet.
