Lootera is my best performance so far: Sonakshi Sinha

Sonakshi Sinha says director Vikramaditya Motwane has given her a complete transformation as an actress in Lootera

Highlights

  • Sonakshi Sinha has maintained a quintessential look in all her Bollywood films till date. However, when Vikramaditya Motwane showed the rushes of her upcoming film to the actress, she was blown away by her looks in the project.
  • Sonakshi says, "It was the most difficult shooting experience for me so far. In terms of my character, my look, my performance and the locations, everything had to be from an era I knew nothing about. There were times during the shoot when I would wake up and ask myself, 'why am I doing this?' But when Vikramaditya showed me the trailer and a few rushes from the film, I had my answer right there."
  • In fact, when she was approached for the film, Sonakshi was not even sure if she would be able to do justice to her role. However, her concerns have now been put to rest. The actress says, "Every struggle was worth it. I loved what I saw, and I can safely say this is probably my best performance so far. I felt like I was seeing another actress from another era. Vikram has transformed me."
  • Thanks to the many delays that took place during the making of the film, the fate of Ranveer Singh and Sonakshi Sinha's next film was undecided for a long time. However it has now been completed and the first look will be out this Friday. While the first look will hit the marquee at a single screen theatre in Marine Lines, our sources say that the lead actors' entry at the event will be something special. The informer states, "The makers are leaving no stone unturned to make sure the first look of this period romance too looks as authentic as the actual 1970s as possible." Both the stars will be driving into the cinema hall in their '70s vintage Impala car. Incidentally, sources from the set say a similar car has also been used in the film.
