In tonight's episode of Kaun Banega Crorepati, Mohammed Masrat Begum's started her game quite effortlessly and with a blink of an eye she had crossed the first milestone securing minimum victory of Rs 10,000. Masrat Begum's lack of interest in Bollywood surprised host Amitabh Bachchan a little. Masrat Begum used her first lifeline (50:50) on question #7 and second on question #8. There were no other hiccups till question #12 where Masrat Begum was not absolutely sure about who was the first Indian to win the World Junior badminton Championship. Even though she hgad two lifelines, Masrat Begum went ahead with her hunch but lost the game and dropped from Rs 6,40,000 to Rs 3,20,000.
Gauri Sawant, a transgender, participated next with singer Usha Uthup. Gauri Sawant was introduced vis-a-vis a video of her story filmed for Mother's Day earlier this year. Gauri Sawant said that the young girl, who played the role of her daughter in the short film, is not her daughter. Gauri said that she doesn't want to expose her daughter to the world till she's 18 years of age. "There's a taboo about our community and I don't want spoil her life," said Gauri Sawant. Gauri pledged the prize money for the construction of a residential complex for the children of sex workers.
Usha Uthupm who is Gauri Sawant's favourite singer, was welcomed to the platform in style. It was a surprise for Gauri, who was overwhelmed when she saw Usha Uthup. She then sang
Darling from
Saat Khoon Maaf, slightly improvised for Gauri.
After a feisty gig, Gauri and Usha Uthup started the game with question #6. Usha Uthup and Gauri Sawant played really well and won Rs 25 lakh and used three lifelines till the end. In the last question she played, Gauri very innocently asked for Amitabh Bachchan's help (LOL).
