Los Angeles: She will be playing a woman on high in her two upcoming comedies and she experimented with weed during her college days but Oscar-winner Natalie Portman feels she is "too old" to be a stoner.

The actress, who has long received critical acclaim for her dramatic roles, is set to star in two upcoming "stoner comedies".

The first, Your Highness releases this month, while the just-announced Best Buds will have to wait until after the birth of her first child this summer.

But despite her experience with pot, the 29-year-old star wants to restrict the hobby to films only.

"I love stoner comedies. I smoked weed in college, but I haven't smoked in years," Portman told Entertainment Weekly.

"I'm too old. I wish I was that cool, but I'm like an old lady now. I'm in bed by 10 p.m. I can't do that anymore," she added.

The actress graduated from Harvard in 2003 with a B A in Psychology. Portman got a chance to relieve her past in her two movies. In Your Highness, a medieval comedy, she plays Isabel, a mysterious warrior, who joins brothers Thadeous and Fabious in their quest to rescue Fabious' bride Belladonna from an evil sorcerer. Their efforts are hindered by lazy Thadeous' fondness for smoking weed.

The actress will produce and star in Best Buds. She will play a bride-to-be who blows off her wedding for a marijuana-fuelled road trip to San Diego with her two best friends.
