The 84-year-old tweeted last night that he and hisgirlfriend, six decades his junior, had got engaged onChristmas Eve.
"After the movie tonight, Crystal and I exchangedgifts. I gave Crystal a ring. A truly memorable Christmas Eve.When I gave Crystal the ring, she burst into tears. This isthe happiest Christmas weekend in memory," he wrote on hisTwitter page.
And later on, to clear up any confusion, Hefner wrote,"Yes, the ring I gave Crystal is an engagement ring. I didn'tmean to make a mystery out of it. A very merry Christmas toall," he wrote.
It was while studying psychology at San Diego StateUniversity, that Crystal started modelling and went on to posenude in Playboy.
She met Hefner on Halloween in 2008 and started datinghim in January 2009 while he was also dating identical twinglamour models Kristina and Karissa Shannon.
But he ended his relationship with the twins inJanuary this year and has remained monogamous to Crystalsince.
Hefner, who founded Playboy in 1953 with MarilynMonroe as his first cover girl, has been married twice before.
