  • Hollywood actress-producer Hilary Swank will be in Mumbai on Sunday, November 17, to be a part of amfAR’s inaugural fundraising event, which is attended by celebrated names from India and abroad.
  • The Million Dollar Baby star, who has won the best actress Academy Award twice, will join amfAR’s Global Fundraising chair Sharon Stone and the India select co-chairs, amfAR supporters and Bollywood actors Aishwarya Rai and Abhishek Bachchan, for the event.
  • The gala, by Foundation for AIDS Research, amfAR, will be held at the Taj Mahal Palace, where renowned recording artist K$sha will perform and American designer and amfAR chairman Kenneth Cole will be present.
  • Another highlight of the event will be an Indian edition of the Gold Fashion Show in collaboration with LoveGold, an initiative by the World Gold Council.
  • The Gold Fashion Show will present the work of Indian designers Abu Jani-Sandeep Khosla, Tarun Tahiliani and Rohit Bal.
  • It will include a black tie dinner and auction similar to amfAR’s black tie galas that take place across the globe. A host of Indian celebrities and industrialists are expected to attend the event.
