London: British band Girls Aloudmember Kimberly Walsh has announced that the group will neverofficially break up.

The Love Machine hitmakers who formed the bandthrough a TV talent show in 2002 have been on hiatus since2009, but Walsh doubts that they will ever announce theirsplit, reported Contactmusic.

"I don't think we'll ever officially break up, to behonest. It'll be more a case of having breaks to go out anddo little things we want to do, then coming back again. We'lldefinitely tour again. We're a live act, that's where we comeinto our own," said Walsh.

The band has five members namely Kimberley Walsh,Nicola Roberts, Sarah Harding, Cheryl Cole and Nadine Coyle. Kimberly admits that constant attention is tough tohandle and said that she feels protective of bandmate Cole,as the interest in the 'Promise This' singer is much more.

"It's much worse for Cheryl because of the height ofpublicity around her, and I do feel a little protective. Idon't like the fact she's so trapped sometimes, trying to goout and about," she said

"There's not a great deal you can do about it but itfrustrates me. Everyone deserves a little bit of freedom andshe doesn't even have that," Walsh added.
