- Producer Mukesh Bhatt, the president of the Film and Television Producers Guild of India, has said that the body along with two other parties, will organise an event on Independence Day to raise funds for those affected by floods in Uttarakhand.
- "For Uttarakhand, film producers guild, Star Plus and Film Worker's Federation of India will together organise an event on Independence Day. Whatever funds we collect, that will be donated for (victims of the) tragedy that has happened in Uttarakhand," said Bhatt.
