Dangal Box Office Collection Day 18: Aamir Khan's Film Speeds Past 350 Crore Mark

New Delhi: Aamir Khan's Dangal has already been declared Bollywood's biggest earner, unseating his 2014 film PK, and it shows no signs of slowing down yet. Dangal released on December 23 and has ruled unchallenged at the box office for nearly three weeks. Day 19's business took Dangal to a total collection of Rs 353.68 crore in India, reported trade analyst Taran Adarsh. Dangal hit 300 crore on Day 13 and has added another 50 crore in six days. In box office terms, it is stupendous. Aamir Khan's film also holds the record for the highest single day earnings, previously held by Salman Khan's Sultan. On Wednesday, Taran Adarsh tweeted day-wise break-up of how much Dangal has made in the last few days:

Dangal's box office performance might taper off now with OK Jaanu and Deepika Padukone's Hollywood debut xXx: The Return Of Xander Cage releasing this week. It's big challenger from within Bollywood will arrive in the form of Shah Rukh Khan's Raees on January 25.

Dangal's breathtaking numbers match the critics' verdict on the film. Aamir Khan's performance as Haryanvi wrestler Mahavir Singh Phogat has been widely hailed as his finest work so far, with special praise reserved for the scenes in which he plays the wrestler as a middle-aged, out-of-shape father. The female cast of Dangal - actresses Fatima Sana Shaikh and Sanya Malhotra, who play Mahavir Singh Phogat's daughters Geeta and Babita, and TV star Sakshi Tanwar, who portrays his wife Daya - also received rave reviews.

Dangal and Aamir Khan are nominated for Best Film and Best Actor at the Filmfare Awards this weekend.
