New Delhi:

So. The new Bond film has a name and a list of new cast members - which does not, sadly, include Stephen Hawking whose dream of playing a Bond baddie will, for now, remain unfulfilled.(Also Read: Stephen Hawking Would Like to Play a Bond Villain)

Spectre, as Bond 24 is officially called, does indeed include Andrew Scott who plays Sherlock's nemesis Moriarty on TV, among the cast as Denbigh, though its unclear who Denbigh is and if he is a villain at all. Actor Christoph Waltz, best known for his chilling portrayal of a Nazi officer in Inglorious Basterds, is also a cast member. Together, it is entirely likely they will leave James Bond both shaken and stirred.

Spectre is named after the evil organisation from Bond creator Ian Fleming's books. It is headed by the bald cat-loving Ernst Blofeld, though no actor has been announced as playing Blofeld in this film. Christoph Waltz plays a character called Oberhauser who, in Ian Fleming's books, is a 'surrogate father' to James Bond. There is speculation, however, that 'Oberhauser' is misdirection on the part of the producers and that Mr Waltz may really be playing Blofeld or an approximation of him.

Spectre also welcomes to its very international cast actresses Monica Bellucci and Lea Seydoux, Italian and French respectively.

Actor-wrestler Dave Bautista, who we saw earlier this year in Guardians of the Galaxy, plays a character called Mr Hinx.

Returning cast members include Daniel Craig as Agent 007, Ralph Fiennes replacing Judi Dench as M, Ben Whishaw as Q and Naomie Harris as Moneypenny. Sam Mendes, director of Skyfall, returns to helm Spectre.

Spectre will begin filming on December 8 and locations include London's Pinewood Studios, Mexico City, Rome , Morocco and Austria. It will release on November 6, 2015.
