Akshay Kumar's Raksha Bandhan is all set to release on August 11. The Aanand L Rai directorial also stars Bhumi Pednekar, Sahejmeen Kaur, Deepika Khanna, Sadia Khateeb and Smrithi Srikanth. Right now, the team is busy with promotion campaigns. As per the latest update shared by Akshay Kumar on Instagram, the team is heading towards Kolkata and then they will go to Lucknow and Delhi. Busy days ahead, isn't it? Well, Akshay Kumar has something more to say. “ Honestly, filmmaking is a cakewalk, par promotions bache ki jaan le lete hai.”

Akshay Kumar and the Raksha Bandhan team are leaving no stone unturned with the promotions. After wrapping up the events in Jaipur, the actor shared a video and spoke about the heart-warming experience. He said, “Khamma Ghani Jaipur! It was a heart-warming experience while visiting the artisans there and watch them use their craft to convert threads into ornamental Rakhis. Aapka pyaar apni kalai par sajake lekar jaa raha hoon.”
Akshay Kumar, in a follow up post, spoke about the artisans who work 365 days to prepare rakhis for the festivity. “Met the artisans of Goliyawas in Jaipur, who work 365 days through the year to prepare Rakhis for the festival of RakshaBandhan and earn their livelihoods through this festival of sibling love. Inse milkar bahot acha laga,” he wrote.
Akshay Kumar, in the middle of the promotions,took out some time to pen a special post for Raksha Bandhan's director Aanad L Rai. Sharing a happy picture with the director from the sets of the film, the actor wrote, “The man who taught me to return to feelings. And, now it's almost time for you to return to cinemas, Raksha Bandhan, 10 days to go.” Akshay Kumar and Aanad L Rai have previously worked in Atrangi Re, which also featured Sara Ali Khan and Dhanush.
Apart from Raksha Bandhan, Akshay Kumar also has an untitled film with Parineeti Chopra in his kitty.
