New Delhi:
Thursday was welcomed with a major
Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge deja vu.
"
Ja Simran ja... jee le apni zindagi..." - Remember the dialogue from the Shah Rukh Khan-Kajol's 1995 film? Hang on... that's not what Arjun Kapoor's picture from the sets of
Half Girlfriend is about but it's something similar.
A running train (in this case, a Mumbai local) leaving the station, a
bechari-looking
ladki standing at the door plus a
ladka who continues running with the train - the picture has all the components of the typical heart-wrenching train scene where lovers often part in a Bollywood film.
Earlier this month, Sidharth Malhotra also Instagrammed a
DDLJ moment with Katrina Kaif while promoting their film
Baar Baar Dekho in Chandigarh:
Previously, Arjun shared pictures from
Half Girlfriend shoots, some from New York and some directly from the basketball court.
Arjun plays Madhav Jha, a basketball player who joins a college in Delhi while Shraddha features as Riya Somani, also a basketball enthusiast in the film.
Half Girlfriend is an adaptation of Chetan Bhagat's novel of the same name. His
2 States adaptation also starred Arjun. Directed by Mohit Suri,
Half Girlfriend releases on May 19, 2017.
Arjun Kapoor was last seen in
Ki And Ka while
Baaghi was Shraddha Kapoor's last onscreen venture. She also has films like
Rock On 2 and
OK Jaanu in the pipeline.
