Happy birthday, Sikandar Kher. The actor turns a year older today, and friends and colleagues of the star have been flooding social media with wishes. On top of the list is a special note from Anupam Kher, who only has the nicest things to say about son Sikandar Kher. Sharing a throwback picture of himself along with Kirron Kher and Sikandar, Anupam Kher wrote, “Happy birthday dearest Sikandar Kher. May God give you all the happiness, success, peace, long and healthy life. I am glad we have never been a typical father/son duo. Growing up (as a person) with you has been amazing. I may not admit often or openly but I have learnt so many things from you. And I am proud of you for the way you are making your choices as an actor. Have a great year.”
That's not all. Anupam Kher also had a typical dad question for Sikandar Kher. He asked, “Par shaadi kab kar rahe ho (But when are you getting married)? This is from Dulari? Love you!” In addition to the throwback image, Anupam Kher also shared a more recent picture of the duo.
Replying to the post, Sikandar Kher wrote, “Thank you and love you, dad! You've been a great father and a friend…and always been there for me when I've needed someone the most.”
We also spotted Soni Razdan in the comments section, who wrote, “Happy birthday, Sikandar.” Actor Jugal Hansraj added, “Happy birthday, Siku.”
Last year too, Anupam Kher shared with the world just how much he loves Sikandar Kher's company. Post the COVID-19 lockdown, before Anupam Kher set off for the USA, he wrote, “Thank you, dearest Sikandar Kher, for being there in the other room of our home for the last 8 months. Occasionally coming out initially and then slowly warming up to me and discovering that we have a lot in common apart from cinema, acting and same house."
Anupam Kher added, "You have been a great partner (especially in the latter half of lockdown) friend, philosopher and funny guy. You one day even made some dish for me which I am forgetting right now but was certainly not forgettable. In short, you turned out to be a great company. We missed mom, Kirron Kher though. I am happy to be your Kher Saab. Stay safe. Love and blessings always.”
A few months ago, Sikandar Kher also shared a picture of Anupam Kher and Kirron Kher on their anniversary. He wrote in a post, “Happy anniversary to these two people. I think I've seen them somewhere... to many more.”
Anupam Kher and Kirron Kher have been married since 1985. Before that, she was married to Gautam Berry, a Mumbai-based businessman, and Sikandar Kher was born to the couple in 1981. Kirron Kher is currently battling multiple myeloma, a type of blood cancer. Meanwhile, Sikandar Kher made his debut in 2008 with Woodstock Villa. He is known for his work in The Zoya Factor, Aurangzeb and Khelein Hum Jee Jaan Sey.
