New Delhi: NDTV's opinion poll shows that Karnataka is one of the few states where the Congress is gaining. The party is expected to win 14 of the state's 28 seats, eight more than its 2009 tally. (Watch)
The BJP, which had put up a stellar performance in 2009 by bagging 19 seats, is expected to lose 7 seats in the state, and end up with a dozen seats only. The BJP had ceded power to the Congress in Karnataka in the assembly polls held last year.
HD Deve Gowda's Janata Dal (Secular) is likely to win two seats. It had won three in the general election held five years ago.
