Hyderabad: Jana Sena party founder and Telugu film actor Pawan Kalyan is expected to meet BJP's prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi in Ahmedabad today.

Mr Kalyan, the youngest brother of Union Minister of State for Tourism K Chiranjeevi, launched Jana Sena in Hyderabad on March 14 with the call "Congress hatao desh bachao," echoing what Mr Modi had been campaigning for over the past few months.

The actor-turned-politician also said he was ready to join hands with any party to oust Congress from power.

Telugu Desam Party (TDP) president N Chandrababu Naidu had invited Mr Kalyan to join hands with him in the endeavour even as speculation did the rounds in the state that TDP-BJP-Jana Sena alliance might happen soon.

Though sources close to Mr Kalyan said they were not aware of the actual purpose of his visit to Ahmedabad, they confirmed that he would be meeting the Gujarat Chief Minister.

"What will be the point of their discussion is not known to us," a close aide of Mr Kalyan said.

However, going by talk in political circles, Mr Kalyan will take up the alliance proposal with Mr Modi.
Meanwhile, Mr Chiranjeevi said he would have to treat his youngest brother as a "political rival".

"As a brother, my blessings will always be there for Kalyan, but as a political leader, he will be treated as any other rival," Mr Chiranjeevi said in Hyderabad today.

Mr Kalyan, like any other person, too would have thoughts and emotions towards the society.

"We should not restrain anyone from expressing their emotions," the Union Minister remarked.
