New AMU Vice Chancellor Revokes Professor Zaidi's Suspension Order

AMU VC Professor Tariq Mansoor has revoked the suspension order of Associate Professor S Mustafa K Q Zaidi and reinstated him on his post with immediate effect.

AMU VC has revoked the suspension order of Prof. S Mustafa K Q Zaidi
Aligarh: Newly appointed Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) Vice Chancellor, Professor Tariq Mansoor, in exercise of the powers vested in him under section 19 (3) of the AMU Amendment Act has revoked the suspension order of Associate Professor S Mustafa K Q Zaidi and reinstated him on his post with immediate effect.

The Vice Chancellor has taken this decision considering the observations made by honorable High Court of Judicature at Allahabad in writ petition number, 9487 of 2017 in its judgment dated, April 6, 2017, said a May 17 statement from the university.

With the revoking of the suspension order, Mr Zaidi will be considered on duty for all purposes from October 26, 2015 till the date of issuance of this order. Mr Zaidi will be paid full salary and allowances for the period; he remained under suspension from October 26, 2015 till date, except the salary already paid to him by way of subsistence allowance.

The order has further made it clear that the charge-sheet served upon Mr Zaidi is withdrawn and disciplinary proceedings against him be treated as closed.
