Suspected Lashkar operative arrested; reveals plan to target Delhi, say sources
New Delhi: A suspected Lashkar-e-Taiba operative, Mohammad Shahid, has been arrested by the Special Cell of the Delhi Police from Haryana. Sources in the police say he has revealed the terror group's plan to attack Delhi.

Shahid, 32, a resident of 'Choti Mewli' in Nuh district of Mewat region in Haryana, was arrested from his house on December 10. He was reportedly interacting with a top Lashkar commander in Pakistan on phone and had visited Pakistan twice.

"He was regularly interacting with Javed Baluchi, an LeT commander who is based in Pakistan. We have recorded some conversations between the two," a Delhi Police official told news agency IANS.

Shahid has been sent to police custody till December 21.
