Delhi:
A minor girl was allegedly raped by a rickshaw puller in south Delhi, police said. The accused identified as Vijay Kumar, who was known to the victim, has been arrested.The incident was reported from Mehrauli on Friday.
The victim, who hails from Jharkhand, had moved to the capital a few months ago and was staying with her relatives. On Friday, she had gone to the local market to get some food where she met Kumar.
"Kumar allegedly raped her after taking her to an isolated place. The girl told her relatives who then approached the police," a senior police official said.
Kumar is currently in custody.
