Pune:
Unidentified suspects early morning on Sunday attempted to commit house breaking theft at NCP corporator Vishal Tambe's home in Dhankavdi.
The alert corporator informed the police control room immediately but the suspect managed to escape.
The corporator has a two-storey building at Chaitanyanagar. The suspects entered the first floor of the building by breaking open two doors.
Tambe told DNA that he heard some noise around 4 am. He immediately called up the police control room and neighbours.
When the suspects heard Tambe's voice, they fled in a grey coloured Tavera toward Satara.
Police officer said the suspects wanted to target a flat in the building, which was locked.
Using iron roads, they broke the safety doors and the main door.
