Sonepat, Haryana:
A Gurgaon-based builder was robbed of Rs 2.5 crore by three car-borne assailants on National Highway No 1 near the Murthal area of the district in Sonepat, police said on Saturday.
The robbery took place when Naresh was returning from Ambala to Delhi with his driver Omprakash in the car, IGP V Kamraj said.
"According to the builder, he was carrying Rs 2.5 crore in cash which was stolen by the men," he said.
The three assailants, also in a car, intercepted Naresh's vehicle near Murthal flyover, the IGP said.
A case had been registered and search for the miscreants is on, Kamraj said.
