Thiruvananthapuram: The NRI deposits in banks in Kerala showed a slight dip in the second quarter of the current fiscal to Rs 37,454 crore from Rs 37,983 crore, according to the review by the State Level Bankers Committee (SLBC).

However, the total NRI deposits at the second quarter ended on September 30 was higher than the corresponding period last year.

According to figures furnished by the SLBC meeting held on Wednesday, the total deposits of the commercial banks touched Rs 1,38,905 crore, of which NRI deposits accounted for Rs 37,454 crore.

The total advances stood at Rs 88,686 crore and the Credit-Deposit Ratio touched 64.26 per cent, showing increased credit dispensation during the period.
