
Volvo is gearing up to diversify its product portfolio in the Indian market, bringing new models to the catalogue. Recently, the brand's upcoming offering, the Volvo EX30, has been spied testing on the Indian roads. The Volvo EX300 is claimed to be the smallest and most affordable electric SUV and is placed below the Volvo EX40 and EC40 in the international market.
Volvo EX30: Powertrain Expected
The Volvo EX30 sold in the global market is based on the brand's Sustainable Experience Architecture platform. While its international spec models get two battery pack options, the brand is likely to offer the 69 kWh NMC battery pack in India, with single motor and dual motor AWD trims. The power unit is set to deliver a peak power of up to 427 bhp and a 474 km range on a single charge.

Volvo EX30: Design Expected
The Volvo EX30 seems to borrow design inspiration from the Volvo EX90 SUV. While the test mule spied on test was heavily camouflaged, it does suggest a few exterior highlights like sleek LED headlights, signature Thor's Hammer LED DRLs, pixel-styled taillights, and more.

Volvo EX30: Interior Expected
On the inside, the Volvo EX30 is expected to carry the same design as seen on the international spec models, with a minimalist design approach. Also, it is expected to come with a 12.3-inch vertically mounted touchscreen, enabled with the brand's updated Google-based infotainment OS.

Volvo EX30: Launch And Price Expected
Reports suggest that the brand is evaluating plans for locally assembling the EX30, which might give it an affordable price. The brand has not yet stated the launch date of the electric SUV. However, it is expected to be launched by the festival season at around Rs 42-45 lakh price bracket.
