Tata Motors has recently launched an updated version of the Punch SUV in the Indian market. Following the upgrades to the internal combustion engine (ICE) model, the automaker seems to be preparing to update the electric powertrain version of the vehicle. According to the latest announcement, the new iteration of the micro electric SUV is expected to launch in the country in the latter weeks of February 2026.

While the details on the upcoming changes are scarce, the electric-powered version is expected to draw inspiration from the ICE model. It will likely get revisions in design, consisting of a redesigned front fascia with EV-specific elements like a closed-off grille. Apart from that, it might also get connected LED DRLs along with a revised front and rear bumper. On the sides, it is expected to get a new design for alloy wheels.

Similarly, the cabin of the Tata Punch EV facelift will bring changes like a larger 12.3-inch free-standing infotainment touchscreen with the likelihood of a new Harman Kardon-sourced sound system. The micro SUV might also get a panoramic sunroof with revisions in the cabin to accommodate the aforementioned changes.

The Tata Punch EV is currently sold with the options of a 25 kWh battery pack offering a range of 265 km and a bigger 35 kWh battery pack offering 365 km of range on a single charge. The brand is expected to carry forward the same options to the facelift model. However, if they follow the route taken with the ICE version, we might see an upgrade in the options.

With these changes in place, the Tata Punch EV facelift might get a bump in its prices. Currently, the vehicle is sold at a starting price of Rs 9.99 lakh (ex-showroom) alongside the ICE version. The options include a CNG powertrain.
