Skoda Auto Volkswagen India Private Limited (SAVWIPL) has announced that the brand has manufactured 20 lakh vehicles at its facilities in India. As per the brand, the milestone has been reached during its strongest commercial momentum since beginning operations in the country. Furthermore, the brand registered October 2025 as its most successful month in six years of operations.

A significant portion of this achievement has been facilitated by the MQB-A0-IN platform, which was developed specifically for the Indian market. Over 500,000 units built on this framework, such as the Skoda Kushaq, Slavia, Kylaq, Volkswagen Taigun, and Virtus, have already been produced. Notably, the most recent 500,000 units were manufactured in merely three and a half years.

Skoda Auto India has achieved its highest sales in a 10-month period, more than doubling its figures to 61,607 units this year. Volkswagen celebrated a festive period with record monthly sales of the Virtus, which now holds over 40 percent market share in the premium sedan category after 40 months of availability.

Bentley has restructured its operations in India by establishing a dedicated Bentley India division and launching new showrooms in Mumbai and Bengaluru. Porsche has increased its customer base to over 4,400 in six years, expanding to 13 sales locations across the country.

The brand has also enhanced its EV charging infrastructure through the Charge My Audi initiative, which now boasts more than 6,500 charging stations. SAVWIPL's ultra-luxury brand, Lamborghini, has also seen continued success, concluding 2024 with its highest annual sales in India at 113 units, supported by recent introductions like the Temerario, as the brand transitions to hybrids under its Direzione Cor Tauri plan.

Piyush Arora, CEO & Managing Director, Skoda Auto Volkswagen India, said, "Every milestone we achieve in India reflects our strong belief in the country's potential - not just as a market but as a driving force in the future of mobility. The 2-million mark is the outcome of consistent investment in people, technology and local capability. It also speaks to the exceptional trust Indian customers place in our six brands."

"Indian buyers are among the most informed and discerning in the world. They evaluate every strength and every limitation before choosing a Volkswagen, Skoda, Audi, Porsche, Lamborghini, or Bentley, and their confidence strengthens our resolve. This achievement highlights how closely we listen to our customers and how their evolving expectations shape the products we design and build here, with the same quality, precision, and trust that define the Group worldwide," he added.
