Renault is gearing up to reintroduce the Duster in India with its third-generation model, scheduled for launch on March 17, 2026. The SUV was officially unveiled in January, marking its comeback after being discontinued in 2022. Renault sees the new Duster as a crucial product to regain ground in the competitive midsize SUV segment. Display and demo units have already reached dealerships, with customer deliveries set to begin in April.

Renault Duster: Engine Options

The Renault Duster will be offered with multiple engine choices to cater to varied buyers. Leading the range is a 1.8-litre petrol hybrid (E-Tech 160) paired with two electric motors, producing 160 bhp and 172 Nm. A 1.3-litre turbo-petrol (Turbo TCe 160) delivers 163 bhp and 280 Nm, available with both manual and dual-clutch gearboxes. Buyers can also opt for a 1.0-litre turbo-petrol (TCe 100) producing 100 bhp and 160 Nm, offered only with a six-speed manual.

Renault Duster: Design & Exterior

Design-wise, the India-spec Duster retains the global third-generation silhouette but adds unique touches for local appeal. The front end features eyebrow-style LED DRLs that double as indicators, a refreshed grille with the Duster badge, and a bumper with silver accents reminiscent of the original model. Pixel-shaped fog lamps further enhance the SUV's character.
