Ola Electric has begun delivering its S1 Pro+ (5.2kWh) electric scooter, which is the first vehicle to use the company's locally developed 4680 Bharat Cell battery pack.
This innovative battery technology, produced entirely using in-house resources, aims to provide better range, improved performance, and increased safety. With this advancement, Ola Electric becomes the first Indian firm to fully control both the manufacturing of the battery pack and the battery cells for its electric vehicles.

As stated by an Ola Electric representative, the introduction of vehicles utilizing the 4680 Bharat Cell signifies a major milestone towards energy self-sufficiency for India. The representative emphasized that this development not only pertains to the new battery cell but also reflects India's advancing capabilities in the areas of energy and transportation.
The cell technology enables Ola Electric to offer products that provide enhanced range, performance, and safety, all developed and manufactured within the nation.
The S1 Pro+ (5.2kWh), equipped with the 4680 Bharat Cell battery pack, has received ARAI certification in accordance with the latest AIS-156 Amendment 4 standards from the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways.
This scooter features a 13 kW motor that allows it to accelerate from 0 to 40 km/h in just 2.1 seconds and boasts a range of 320 km (IDC with DIY mode). The S1 Pro+ offers four riding modes: Hyper, Sports, Normal, and Eco, along with dual ABS and disc brakes for enhanced safety. Additional characteristics include a dual-tone seat, body-colored mirrors, a new aluminum grab handle, rim decals, and a broader selection of colors.
Ola Electric has a product lineup that includes S1 scooters and Roadster X motorcycles, targeting both the premium and mass-market segments, with various battery options and price ranges.
