Ducati has introduced the new Hypermotard V2 and V2 SP at EICMA 2025, marking the fourth generation of the model and 20 years since its first appearance at the show. The new motorcycle uses the 890cc V2 engine now common across Ducati's middleweight models, including the Monster V2 and Panigale V2.
The 890cc, 90-degree engine produces 120 hp at 10,750 rpm and 94 Nm at 8,250 rpm. Ducati states that 70 percent of the torque is available from 3,000 rpm. The engine is mated to a six-speed gearbox with a bi-directional quickshifter. The brand has extended valve-clearance intervals to 15,000 km through the use of spring valves.

The updated Hypermotard features a new monocoque chassis while retaining the trellis subframe. For the first time, it uses a double-sided swingarm. Weight reduction measures have cut 13kg from the standard version and 16kg from the SP variant. Seat height stands at 880 mm, with an optional lower kit reducing it by 30 mm.
Suspension components include a 46 mm Kayaba USD fork and monoshock on the standard version, while the SP variant uses fully adjustable 48 mm Ohlins units at both ends. Braking is handled by Brembo M4.32 calipers on the standard model and M50 calipers on the SP, both working with 320 mm discs. The motorcycle runs on 17-inch wheels, with forged aluminium rims on the SP. Tyres differ between models, with Pirelli Diablo Rosso IV on the standard bike and Rosso IV Corsa on the SP. A 190-section rear tyre is available as an option.
Electronics are managed by a 6-axis IMU, providing cornering ABS, traction control, wheelie control, and engine brake control. The SP version adds a pit-lane limiter. Four riding modes-Race, Sport, Road, and Wet-are available, and the motorcycle uses a new 5-inch TFT display.
Design changes include a new LED headlight and a tail section influenced by the Streetfighter V4. The Hypermotard V2 comes in Ducati Red, while the SP version features a white livery with a red "20" graphic marking two decades of the model.
