Mercedes-Benz has officially unveiled the all-new electric version of its C-Class sedan, marking a significant shift for one of its most popular global nameplates. Built on a dedicated EV platform shared with the upcoming Mercedes-Benz GLC EV, the new model brings a blend of performance, luxury, and long-range efficiency to the electric sedan space.
Performance, Battery & Range
At the heart of the electric C-Class is a 94kWh battery pack paired with an advanced 800-volt electrical architecture. This setup enables a claimed WLTP range of up to 762km, making it one of the longest-range electric sedans in its segment.

Additionally, the car supports ultra-fast DC charging of up to 330kW, which can replenish up to 325km of range in just 10 minutes under ideal conditions. Mercedes has also confirmed that a rear-wheel-drive version with an even higher range-close to 800km-will join the lineup later.

Acceleration
The dual-motor configuration produces around 470bhp (360kW), allowing the sedan to sprint from 0-100 kmph in just 4.0 seconds.
Design
The new electric C-Class adopts a more futuristic and aerodynamic design language. It features a coupe-like silhouette with a sloping roofline and a fastback-style rear, giving it a sportier stance compared to its ICE counterpart.

At the front, the sedan gets an illuminated grille embedded with multiple light elements, alongside sleek LED headlamps. The signature star-pattern lighting continues at the rear with distinctive tail lamps, aligning it with newer models like the Mercedes-Benz S-Class and Mercedes-Benz EQS.
Interior & Features
Inside, the cabin is dominated by a massive 39.1-inch MBUX Hyperscreen that spans the entire dashboard. Running on Mercedes' latest MB.OS software, the system supports over-the-air updates, AI-powered voice assistance, and intelligent navigation that factors in charging stops.
The feature list is extensive, including:
- Panoramic glass roof with ambient lighting
- Electrically adjustable seats with memory, ventilation, and massage functions
- Multi-zone climate control
- 4D surround sound system
- Rear-axle steering and AIRMATIC air suspension
- The sedan also offers a 470-litre boot along with a 101-litre front trunk (frunk), and a towing capacity of up to 1.8 tonnes.

Launch Timeline
The electric C-Class will first go on sale in the United States, with other markets to follow based on infrastructure and regulatory readiness. While there is no official confirmation yet, an India launch is expected sometime in the next calendar year.
