- Maruti Suzuki sold 239,646 units in April 2026, its highest ever monthly sales

Maruti Suzuki India Limited sold a total of 2,39,646 units in April 2026, which is its highest ever monthly sales volume. Domestic sales also reached an all-time high of 1,91,122 units. The sales to other OEM were at 8,470 units and exports were at 40,054 units.
Within the passenger vehicle category, the mini segment-comprising Alto and S-Presso-saw a notable jump to 16,066 units from 6,332 units a year ago. The compact and mid-size segment, including popular models like Baleno, Swift, Dzire, and WagonR, continued to be the backbone of sales, contributing 80,659 units, up from 61,912 units last year. Overall, total passenger car sales stood at 96,725 units, reflecting healthy year-on-year growth.
Utility vehicles remained another key contributor, with models such as Brezza, Ertiga, Grand Vitara, and Fronx helping the segment grow to 77,892 units from 59,022 units. Meanwhile, the van segment, led by the Eeco, registered sales of 13,087 units, up from 11,438 units in April 2025.

Including light commercial vehicles (LCV), where the Super Carry recorded 3,418 units, Maruti Suzuki's total domestic sales (PV + LCV) stood at 191,122 units, compared to 142,053 units last year. Sales to other OEMs slightly declined to 8,470 units from 9,827 units.

When combining PV, LCV, and OEM sales, total domestic volumes reached 199,592 units, showing a significant rise over 151,880 units in April 2025. Export performance was also strong, with 40,054 units shipped overseas, up from 27,911 units a year ago.
Overall, Maruti Suzuki posted total sales of 239,646 units in April 2026, compared to 179,791 units in April 2025, underlining robust growth across both domestic and international markets.
