Maruti Suzuki has finally entered the electric SUV market with the launch of the e-Vitara in the Indian market. The brand's maiden electric car has been launched at an introductory price of Rs 10.99 lakh (ex-showroom). Prospective buyers can also opt for the BaaS model with rentals starting from Rs 3.99/km. The Maruti Suzuki e-Vitara is offered through the brand's Nexa dealership, at a booking amount of Rs 21,000.
The Maruti Suzuki e-Vitara gets three variants on offer, namely- Delta, Zeta, and Alpha. Here are the variant-wise features of the e-Vitara:
Maruti Suzuki e Vitara: Battery And Specs
The Maruti Suzuki e Vitara is offered with two battery pack options- 49 kWh and 61 kWh. The 49 kWh battery powers the front axle single motor that generates 144 hp. The larger 61 kWh battery also features a single motor, but it delivers 174 hp. Both motors generate the same torque of 189 Nm. In terms of range, the electric vehicle is estimated to have a range of 440 km with the 49 kWh battery pack, while the larger 61 kWh version is rated for 543 km on a full charge.
