Mahindra is preparing for the debut of the XUV 7XO, essentially a facelifted version of the XUV700, set to debut on January 5. In the run-up to its debut, teaser videos have already highlighted the SUV's design updates. Now, newly surfaced images provide a clearer look at both the exterior and interior, showcasing the changes in greater detail and higher quality.
Images shared by MotoWagon reveal the Mahindra XUV 7XO finished in what appears to be Midnight Black. The photos showcase the SUV from the front, side, and rear, highlighting its redesigned fascia. Updates include a refreshed grille, new headlights, and a reworked bumper, all contributing to a sharper, more modern look. Also, the XUV 7XO's front profile has been thoroughly updated, starting with LED headlights that now feature redesigned DRLs, animated indicators, and improved internal elements. The grille has been enlarged and refined, incorporating eight vertical slats with the Twin Peaks logo prominently at the centre. A newly styled bumper adds sleek fog lamps, a silver skid plate, and a reworked air dam. Together, these changes give the SUV's fascia a sharper, more premium, and contemporary appearance compared to its predecessor.
The images also reveal the interiors of the Mahindra XUV 7XO. The interior of the Mahindra XUV 7XO shows clear similarities to the XEV 9S, with a nearly identical layout and features. However, the distinction lies in the colours and trims. While the XEV 9S uses muted tones to emphasize its EV character, the 7XO highlights luxury with a Brown-Beige cabin theme, complemented by soft-touch surfaces and premium detailing. Tan Brown accents even extend to the steering wheel, while the seats appear plush and well-upholstered, reinforcing the SUV's upscale appeal.

Mahindra has already confirmed several standout features for the upcoming XUV 7XO, which is essentially the refreshed version of the XUV700. The SUV will be equipped with three 12.3-inch displays, serving as the front passenger entertainment screen, the central infotainment unit, and the digital instrument cluster. These elements not only enhance functionality but also elevate the cabin's modern appeal. Complementing this setup is a 16-speaker Harman Kardon audio system with Dolby Atmos, along with BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) mounts to enrich the in-car entertainment experience.

Beyond infotainment, the XUV 7XO promises a host of premium comforts and advanced technologies. Buyers can expect conveniences such as wireless smartphone charging, dual-zone climate control, ventilated seats, and second-row seating with slide and recline functions. A panoramic sunroof, powered front seats with driver memory, and ambient lighting further add to the luxury quotient. Safety and innovation are also prioritized, with the SUV offering a first-in-segment 540-degree camera, a connected car suite, and Level 2+ ADAS, positioning the XUV 7XO as a feature-rich contender in its segment.
Under the hood, the upcoming Mahindra XUV 7XO will retain the same 2.0-litre turbo-petrol and 2.2-litre diesel engines used on the outgoing XUV700. Both these units can be paired with either a manual or automatic transmission. The top-end variant of the XUV700 comes with an all-wheel-drive configuration, which will likely be carried forward to the XUV 7XO.
