Adventure motorcycles in India are witnessing an upward trend in terms of popularity. Credit to their design, which makes them suitable for tarmac and off-road adventures, the motorcycles give the rider freedom to go anywhere. To profit from the trend and capitalize on their capabilities, multiple manufacturers in India have launched budget adventure tourers. While many others are preparing to bring their own contenders, here's a list of mid-capacity adventure bikes we wish were available in India.

Kove 450 Rally

Kove Moto, a relatively young brand founded in 2017, has quickly carved out a name for itself in the global motorcycle scene. While its lightweight, competitively priced adventure bikes have drawn attention, the company's credibility was cemented through motorsport. In its very first attempt at the Dakar Rally - one of the toughest endurance events in the world.

The Kove 450 Rally is one of the popular bikes the brand sells in the international market. Powered by a 449cc, single cylinder, DOHC engine, the Kove 450 Rally is capable of delivering a peak power and torque output of 50.95 hp and 39 Nm.

BSA Thunderbolt

Reviving a nameplate that was popular in the 1960s and early '70s, the company is aiming to blend heritage with modern adventure touring. While an official timeline hasn't been confirmed, the bike is expected to reach the Indian market by mid-2026.

The Thunderbolt carries several design cues that highlight its off-road intent. These include a height-adjustable windscreen, reinforced bash plate for protection, wide handlebars for better control, upswept exhaust placement, and knuckle guards to shield the rider's hands. The bike is powered by a 334cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine. Though official figures are yet to be confirmed, early estimates suggest it could produce around 30 hp and 29 Nm of torque.

CFMoto 450MT

CFMoto, the Chinese two-wheeler brand is planning to re-enter the Indian market. The brand had witnessed poor sales due to several factors way back in 2019, forcing it to shut operations in India. The brand is likely to bring the 450MT in the Indian market, with its entry. 

The CFMoto 450MT derives its power from a 450cc, liquid-cooled engine capable of throttling a peak power of 42.41 hp.

Honda CRF300L Rally

The Honda CRF 300L Rally is a dual-sport motorcycle designed to balance off-road capability with everyday usability. It runs on a 286cc liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine that provides reliable performance for trail riding and commuting alike. The bike is equipped with Showa long-travel suspension, offering 10.2 inches of travel at both the front and rear, which helps it absorb bumps and uneven terrain with ease.

Its wheel setup includes a 21-inch front and 18-inch rear, giving riders access to a wide variety of off-road and dual-sport tyre options. This makes the Rally adaptable to different riding conditions, whether it's dirt tracks or mixed surfaces.

Kawasaki KLE500

The Kawasaki KLE500 is set to debut in the US in October 2025, reviving a name first introduced in 1991 and discontinued in 2007. Powered by a 451cc parallel-twin liquid-cooled engine, it shares its core with the Ninja 500 and Eliminator 500, though official output figures remain unconfirmed. 

Styling takes inspiration from rally machines, with a compact headlight, tall windscreen, and slim fuel tank. Built on a lightweight steel trellis frame, it features KYB suspension offering generous travel for both front and rear.
