Mahindra has reinforced its stronghold in India's SUV market, securing the position of the country's second-best-selling car brand in 2025. To further highlight its flagship offering, the company has teamed up with former cricketer and commentator Matthew Hayden. In a video released by Mahindra Australia, Hayden takes the wheel of the Scorpio N, focusing on the premium Z8L+ variant. He walks viewers through its extensive feature list while showcasing the SUV's appeal, blending Mahindra's market success with celebrity endorsement.

Matthew Hayden begins by focusing on the Scorpio N's features, noting that its design remains unchanged. He highlights the ventilated front seats, calling them invaluable during Australia's hot summers. Hayden also points out the addition of an electric parking brake and an auto-dimming IRVM, which enhance convenience and safety. Connectivity options, such as Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, are integrated into the touchscreen infotainment system, further elevating the SUV's appeal. The centre console now features a gloss-black finish, with a repositioned 4WD knob, while the EPB and auto-hold switches sit neatly below.

Matthew Hayden drove the Scorpio N's top-end Z8L+ variant, which is equipped with Level 2 ADAS technology. Key features include adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, lane departure warning, automatic emergency braking, and speed limit alerts. These advanced driver-assistance systems are exclusive to the Z8L+ and not offered on lower trims. Hayden noted that the inclusion of these features makes driving more convenient, reducing stress and enhancing overall safety on the road. However, the brand offers the Mahindra Scopio Z8L trim in the Indian market that gets the Level 2 ADAS features.

Also, the brand is working on a facelifted version of the Scorpio N, with several design tweaks and feature updates. The most significant upgrades for the Scorpio N facelift are likely to be inside the cabin. Although already well-equipped, Mahindra is expected to add new features and refinements to keep pace with rivals offering advanced technology and premium touches. Additions might include front and rear ventilated seats, a panoramic sunroof, and a fully-digital TFT instrument cluster. A larger 12.3-inch infotainment screen, powered front seats with driver memory function, and an enhanced Harman Kardon audio system with Dolby Atmos are also anticipated. Convenience features such as an auto-park function and other advanced equipment could further elevate the SUV's appeal.

The Mahindra Scorpio N facelift will retain its existing powertrain options, including the 2.0-litre turbo-petrol and 2.2-litre turbo-diesel engines. Both will continue to be offered with either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed torque-converter automatic gearbox. Enthusiasts hope the diesel variant could receive a higher 450 Nm torque tune, similar to the XUV700, for added performance.
