Global motorsports enthusiasts have been cheering for Audi as it is set to make an official entry into Formula 1. The German car manufacturer has announced its entry into the sport for the 2026 season and has now unveiled the concept version of its Formula 1 car. The Audi R26 Concept is a clear statement and provides a preview of the color scheme and design of the brand's first Formula 1 race car, which will be unveiled in January. The brand states that this visual identity is based on the recently introduced design philosophy and its four design principles: clear, technical, intelligent, and emotional.

Audi's Formula 1 design adopts a clean, geometric look that complements the car's overall shape. The color scheme includes titanium, carbon black, and a new shade called Audi red. To highlight its F1 identity, Audi will also use red rings in select areas.

To join Formula 1, Audi fully acquired Switzerland-based Sauber Group earlier this year, paving the way for Qatar's sovereign wealth fund to invest in the project. Leading the Audi F1 team are seasoned Formula 1 professionals Mattia Binotto and Jonathan Wheatley, who report directly to Audi CEO Gernot Dollner. For its driver lineup, Audi is banking on a mix of experience and fresh talent, veteran racer Nico Hulkenberg from Germany, and rising Brazilian star Gabriel Bortoleto.
