Mercedes-Benz cars are highly popular among celebrities, some more than others. Probably one of the top contenders on the likeability scale is the Mercedes-Benz G-Wagen. This remains the case for celebrities overseas and in India as well. The latest one to express this attraction towards the SUV is actor Karan Kundrra, who has bought the Mercedes-Benz G-Wagen worth around Rs 3 crore.
The update was shared by Karan Kundrra himself on Instagram with pictures of him posing with his brand-new SUV. Keeping the caption short, the actor wrote 'G' with the picture. There are no pictures or videos of the actor taking the delivery of the SUV. It is expected to come sometime in the near future on social media. Based on the pictures, the actor has chosen the Night Black version of the SUV. However, we are not sure of the variant he has chosen.

Presently, the brand has the Mercedes-Benz G580 on sale in India. However, the one in the pictures with Karan Kundrra seems to be the G400d. This iteration of the SUV sits below the G63 AMG in the brand's lineup and is powered by the 3.0-litre inline six-cylinder diesel engine, which is tuned to produce 326 hp of power and 700 Nm of peak torque. This power is routed to wheels via a 9-speed automatic transmission.
The SUV with the legendary name tips the scales at around 2.5 tons. Despite this weight, it is capable of accelerating from 0 to 100 kmph in 6.4 seconds. Meanwhile, the more powerful G63 AMG, which comes with a 585 hp V8, can do it in 4.3 seconds.
Apart from the G-Wage, Karan Kundrra also owns a Jeep Wrangler Rubicon, which is known for its off-road capabilities and comes with a 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine kicking out 291 hp of power and 400 Nm of peak torque.
