- Mercedes-Benz India recalls 99 electric G-Class SUVs due to wheel bolt concerns
- Affected units are G 580 with EQ Technology made between July 2024 and August 2025
- Loose wheel bolts may compromise vehicle stability and pose a driving hazard over time
Mercedes-Benz India has announced a recall for the all-electric G-Class SUV. The recall addresses a potential issue related to wheel bolt integrity. It affects a limited batch of 99 units of the Mercedes-Benz G 580 with EQ Technology that were manufactured between July 12, 2024, and August 18, 2025.
According to the official communication, the concern stems from wheel bolts that may not meet the company's specified requirements. Over time, this could lead to a gradual loosening of the wheel bolts during regular vehicle operation. In such a scenario, the stability of the wheel connection could be compromised, potentially affecting overall driving stability.
