New Delhi:

Campaigning for the Delhi elections ends at 6 this evening and political parties are going all out to ensure they make the most lasting impact on the voter. That means hundreds of roadshows in the capital today.

Political workers from all parties are streaming by the hundreds on to the roads in shows of strength to support their candidates in one of the most closely fought elections of recent times.

For the rest of Delhi, however, it is a middle-of-the-week working day and those with travel plans across the city can brace for some major traffic jams.

The BJP has instructed all its 69 candidates and one ally to hold roadshows in the constituencies they are contesting.

The party's Chief Ministerial candidate Kiran Bedi has begun her first roadshow in Mangolpuri and will cover adjoining the constituencies of Sultanpuri, Kirari, Nangloi and Mundka.

She will then campaign in her constituency of Krishna Nagar through the afternoon till campaigning for the elections ends at 6 pm today. BJP president Amit Shah will address one rally today.

Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi will lead a roadshow at Sultanpur Majran.

Arvind Kejriwal's Aam Aadmi Party has also told all its 70 candidates to campaign in each of their constituencies.

All the AAP leaders will participate in 'padayatras' and door-to-door campaigns in their respective constituencies.
