Jeev slips to tied 42nd after Rd3 of Reno-Tahoe Open

Reno, USA: An eventful front nine left Jeev Milkha Singh with a card of three-over 75 and the seasoned Indian slipped 25 rungs to tied 42nd after the penultimate round of the Reno-Tahoe Open golf tournament here.

The Chandigarh pro slotted just one birdie against a couple of bogeys and a double bogey to take his total to even-par 216 in three days.

Jeev was off to a steady start but soon went one-over after dropping a stroke on the third hole.

He quickly made amends with his only birdie of the day on the fourth hole but let it slip with a double bogey on the seventh and a bogey on the ninth.

The back-nine was a subdued affair as Jeev made pars on all the nine holes.

At the top, American Scott McCarron (67) grabbed the sole lead with a total of 10-under 206, followed a stroke adrift by his compatriots John Mallinger (71) and Robert Garrigus (73).
