Karnataka Chief Minister gives ultimatum to striking Pre-University lecturers
Shimoga, Karnataka: Karnataka Chief Minister D V Sadananda Gowda on Sunday gave an ultimatum to the agitating Pre-University (PU) lecturers to immediate report for valuation work from tomorrow.

Addressing reporters here he said he had directed the striking PU lecturers to immediately report for valuation work from tomorrow.

"I have made it clear that I will talk to them on April 19. If they continue to adopt threatening and blackmail tactics, I will not budge" said the Chief Minister.

"I am really annoyed about the way the lecturers are behaving despite our best efforts to provide more benefits to all employees even during drought period", he said.

Gowda further appealed to the lecturers not to jeopardise the future of students through such acts.

The lecturers have been boycotting valuation of PUC answer scripts for the past three days seeking rectification of pay anomalies.
