Ahmedabad:
Gujarat CID has handed over Tulsiram Prajapati case papers to CBI. Prajapati was a key witness in Sohrabuddin encounter case and was killed after his encounter.
CBI has requested Supreme Court to allow them to investigate the kidnapping and murder of Prajapati as the two cases are related.
Meanwhile Gujarat CID has filed a chargesheet against IPS officer M N Dinesh and DG Vanzara in the Prajapati case of the 2006.
Another Sohrabuddin aide Azam Khan, a key CBI witness, on Saturday deposed before the CBI.
Prajapati was killed in an alleged staged shootout on Dec 28, 2006 before the state CID (crime) then probing the Sohrabuddin case could record his statement. He was the sole eye-witness in the killing of Sheikh after the elimination of his wife Kauserbi.
