A farmer tried to commit suicide by consuming poison at Maharashtra Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan's rally in Maharashtra today.
The incident happened in Amravati this afternoon.
As the rally began, the 42-year-old farmer first started raising slogans and then reportedly consumed a bottle of pesticide.
He was immediately rushed to Yawatmal government hospital. His condition is said to be critical.
