Bangalore:
The Bangalore metro was stopped for half an hour early this morning after a plastic bag was found on the train track.
The mysterious plastic bag was spotted - and reported to the Operation Control Centre and the nearest police. It was safety first at this latest landmark of Bangalore and the trains were brought to a standstill.
On inspection, the bag revealed banana leaves used to wrap food.
Metro officials have asked commuters and resident to avoid "such acts of vandalism." (

The city's Namma metro was launched in October. It currently links Baiyyappanahalli and M.G. Road, covering a six kilometre stretch.
