Air India cancels flights ahead of UK strike
New Delhi: A strike by unions in the UK tomorrow has led to travel advisories for Indian passengers headed to London.

Air India has cancelled four flights to London from Delhi and Amritsar. Jet Airways says that while its flights will operate according to schedule, it recommends that passenger rebook their flights "to avoid any inconvenience and immigration delays" at London's Heathrow airport.

As many as two million public workers in UK- from immigration officials to teachers to garbage collectors - are expected to join a one-day walkout on Wednesday, in an escalating row over planned changes to public-sector pensions. Immigration officers at Heathrow and other UK airports are also expected to join the strike.

Both Air India and Jet Airways are offering to rebook the tickets of passengers travelling tomorrow at no extra cost.

Air India has cancelled four flights - Amritsar-Delhi-London (AI-115), London-Delhi (AI-116), Delhi-London (AI-111) and London-Delhi (AI-112).

Jet Airways operates three daily Boeing 777 flights from India to UK - two from Mumbai and one from Delhi.
