Two minor girls raped in Uttar Pradesh
Barabanki/Hathras: Uttar Pradesh is once again in the news for all the wrong reasons. Two more rape cases were reported on Saturday including that of a Dalit minor girl in the Ibrahimpur village of Barabanki.

The girl was attacked while she was on her way from the local market. Her parents lodged a complaint with the police and a local youngster has been arrested for the crime.

The victim was admitted to a Lucknow hospital after the incident.

The girl's mother said that she had sent the girl to the local shop and the incident happened while she was returning home.

Another minor girl was raped in the Saasni area of Hathras. The police have lodged a complaint after a medical examination of the girl. The incident occurred while the girl's parents were away in Noida and she was alone at home. Police are still on the lookout for the accused.

Just last week, the state of Uttar Pradesh saw 8 cases of rape in 48 hours.

Chief Minister Mayawati, under a lot of pressure from various political parties and much criticism, had promised to take strict action against all such crimes.
