On Assam Visit, PM Modi Slams Congress Over Violence, Neglect Of Northeast
On a two-day visit to Assam, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Day 1 held a grand roadshow, visited the BJP headquarters, and addressed public rallies, sharply attacking the Congress over violence and alleged neglect of the Northeast. Congress MP Gaurav Gogoi hit back, calling PM Modi's development "report card" in the region poor. On Day 2, PM Modi is set to interact with 25 Assam students on a Brahmaputra cruise and later visit the Shaheed Smarak in Guwahati, dedicated to martyrs of the Assam agitation.
