It is not just the interiors that make an airline stand out. Cabin crew uniforms play a big role, too. They are not just about looking polished and professional - they often carry bits of history, culture and brand identity stitched into every detail. On Tuesday, an Emirates flight attendant from India gave travellers a closer look at what makes her airline's uniform unique. Panthi Shah, who works as part of the Emirates cabin crew, shared a short video on Instagram. She revealed some interesting facts about the outfit that many of us have seen but probably never thought much about.

Panthi Shah began by saying, "Facts about the Emirates uniform you probably did not know." She then explained that the beige colour of the uniform represents the sand dunes and desert landscapes of the UAE. The fabric is waterproof and designed with special material to withstand long hours on duty.
She also pointed out something many might miss - the scarf. She shared that the scarf has seven pleats, each symbolising one of the seven emirates that make up the UAE. Name badges are bilingual, written in both Arabic and English. And there is a rule: wearing a watch is compulsory for all crew members.
