Did you love Pokemon as a kid? If yes, then you are in for a treat. Tokyo is set to welcome its first-ever Pokemon-themed park, PokePark KANTO, in 2026. This outdoor attraction, located at Yomiuriland in the western suburbs of Kawasaki, will cover 26,000 sqm. The park will be divided into several regions, each featuring its own unique Pokemon-inspired spots. Some of these include a Pokemon Centre, Trainers' Market, Gym, Pokemon Mart and Sedge Town. The Pokemon Forest, home to more than 600 Pokemon, is expected to be the major highlight of the park.

All About The Exciting Pokemon Forest

Spanning more than 1,600 ft in length, the Pokemon Forest will take you back to your childhood days when you eagerly watched the cartoon on TV. This region will welcome visitors with a spacious wilderness, perfect for nature lovers. Expect winding paths through lush green hills, vast pastures, deep tunnels, rocky trails and more as you step inside the forest. The best part? Visitors will encounter some of their favourite Pokemon characters in the area. These colourful structures will enhance the beauty of the place, offering plenty of photo opportunities and making the outing even more memorable.

Shop For Merchandise At Sedge Town

Sedge Town is a shopper's paradise, home to a Pokemon Centre and Poke Market, alongside a Gym and Trainers' Market. Here, visitors can shop for exclusive merchandise and Pokemon-themed items as souvenirs. The Pokemon parade is another exciting event to look forward to. Additionally, there is the Primarina Fountain, where Pokemon trainers can gather and enjoy themselves.

PokePark KANTO will open its gates to the public in spring next year, with advance tickets expected to go on sale in autumn this year.
