Upcoming Expressways In Bihar
1. Varanasi-Aurangabad 6-lane highway

This is Bihar's first six-lane national highway. The 192 km infrastructure project is estimated to cost around Rs 4,100 crore, reported News18. Currently in its final stages of construction, it is targeted for completion by April 2026. Once completed, the stretch will considerably cut travel time between Delhi and Bihar. It is also expected to strengthen connectivity between eastern and central India, thereby boosting Bihar's economy and tourism industry.
2. Expansion Of JP Ganga Path
This large-scale infrastructure initiative is designed to extend the existing 20.5 km corridor into a high-capacity superhighway. The project is being executed in two major phases to boost connectivity between Patna and its eastern and western outskirts. The first phase will involve the construction of a 17.65 km four-lane road from Sherpur to Koilwar. During Phase 2, an 18 km elevated four-lane road will be developed to connect Digha to Sherpur.
