Kerala Court Gives Madhya Pradesh Man 33-Year Jail Term For Raping Girl

A Kerala court on Friday convicted and sentenced a man from Madhya Pradesh to a cumulative 33 years of imprisonment for raping a 15-year-old girl who hailed from West Bengal, at Poopara in this hilly district of the state.

1.71 Lakh Rape Cases Registered In India Between 2015 And 2019

As many as 1.71 lakh rape cases were registered in the country between 2015 and 2019 and the highest number of incidents of this heinous crime was reported from Madhya Pradesh, followed by Rajasthan, the government informed Parliament on Wednesday.
